Will I Roll A Farkle?
Besides having an odd name, here are the rolling odds.
Besides having an odd name, here are the rolling odds.
The more dice you roll the more combinations there are to score. For example, if you roll three dice, not only might you roll a 1 or a 5, but you might also roll three of a kind. These odds assume the following combinations, 1, 5, three of a kind, four, five or six of a kind, straights and three pairs.
1 Dice Left = 2/6 or 1 in 3
2 Dice Left = 20/36 or 1 in 1.80
(Wow! You have slightly more than 50/50 chance of scoring. Feeling lucky?)
3 Dice Left = 156/216 or 1 in 1.38
(Although the odds are good, I always worry about this roll.)
4 Dice Left = 1092/1296 or 1 in 1.19
5 Dice Left = 7176/7776 or 1 in 1.08
6 Dice Left = 45480/46656 or 1 in 1.03
